"THE GREATEST PHOTOGRAPHIC BUCKET TRIP EVER PLANNED, PHOTOKINA and OKTOBERFEST IN ONE SHOT"

SEPTEMBER 15-29, 2014

A unique one time trip planned by four Professional Photographers willing to
share their journey and expanded it to
include other photo enthusiasts.

This trip was not planned, nor organized,
by a tour company or tour group.  Thus we have no timeshare tours, tourist traps, wild bus rides, just great locations and events, at our pace, on our bus. We have an onboard travel professional and tour contacts in Germany for certified reservations.

We selected the locations and events, over a twenty month period, then put the trip together with the help of the aforementioned professionals.  Thus the journey will appeal to photographers and travelers with an eye to people and places on all levels.  It is also flexible enough, and not limited to the following events and locations as we included free time and on some days the alternate selection of appealing and interesting activities.

*ATTEND PHOTOKINA TRADE SHOW    *THE SOUTHERN REGION OF GERMANY TEN CITIES IN ALL
*THE COLOGNE CATHEDRAL    *THE TECHNIK SPEYER MUSEAM    *THE EAGLES NEST   *THE PASSION PLAY TOWN  *ATTEND OKTOBERFEST ADMISSION  * THE VINEYARDS  of MOSEL VALLEY - FINE RHINE WINES *AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT GARDENS AND ZOO  *BURG ELTZ CASTLE  *WORMS CATHEDRAL    *HEIDELBERG CASTLE    * LUXEMBOURG    * CASTLES, LANDSCAPES, PEOPLE, and lots more……see the dailies.

The photo icon shown, symbol indicates optional events, scenery, locations, excursions or just call it a casual relax day, your call, you may do as you wish and is an added bonus on days when a scheduled venue isn’t in your interest.  It’s trip flexibility.

This trip is open to the public, thats you.  But a discrete invite has gone out to
major photographic clubs and organizations. Thus, this will be handled
on a first come, first served (by deposit) basis.  Again less than 30 will
be going on this incredible journey.

Disclaimer:  While this blog will not possibly cover everything at this time, we will try to keep it up to date.  I know it's long and wordy, but the goal is to give you as much information as possible.  It’s simple, from a shooters standpoint using the best minds in travel we could find, we put this together, and herein lies the information we secured  and since we are not travel agents with access to great software and brochures we rely on this site, we have been extra cautious.  This is a unique SHARING event, what we have secured for ourselves, you get the same deal, encompassing fourteen days, two major world class events, a foreign destination, two countries, and a new experience for some required a lot of thought… and over twenty months and lots of pages.

Each day is explained in detail, some days have options.  Things may occur that we may have no control over.  The schedule, and planning can change, adjust would be a better word.  But we will try to stay ahead of the game as we are going with you and we are travelers too. You will be kept informed because it cuts down on "are we there yet and whats next”. We will issue from time to time advisories and updates as to where we found deals, what equipment to bring, weather, dress codes etc.

WHO’S WHO
This trip has been planned by photographers for photographers which makes it unique.  The original group spent two years dreaming and twenty months working on details and wanted a trip without the tour group mentality with the goal, of doing, seeing and recording a unique experience for those involved.  By no means is this a trip for Pros only. This is both a learning experience in history and culture of the birthplace of modern civilization in Europe and also a learning experience in the Photographic art-form literally in landscape and portrait.   Unique yes, because the photography will center around people and places, thus the total compositional and lighting creativeness will have a chance to develop.

Even more important to the beginner or amateur regardless of level is the fact that the first four who signed up in our group are in the camera industry, have taught photography, and/or make a living at it.  Sort of on the job training for someone looking to increase their skills..

NOT YOUR USUAL TOUR
This is not your typical tour group trip where the tour is generally planned for the benefit of the tour company. We are part of the trip, just like you, so we made it to suit our needs as photographers and travelers sharing our ideas.  We are sharing our journey.

We like to travel nice, comfortable, not too ridiculously expensive, but nice, clean and suited to our standards.  Using our money, using our air miles when we can, getting bulk rates saved us close to 40% off of the commercial tours.  Those tours which really do not allow the kind of photography we wish to do, and didn’t include PHOTOKINA and OKTOBERFEST.

There is financial power in a group. Better rates, group deals on transportation, and rooms, admissions and why not travel with more friends. We aimed at stressless since we are deluxe coach driven, no rental cars, no maps, no Garmin's, hopefully no one lost.

Sit back and we let them do the work was the theme. It's basically open to all, if you are reading this you are welcome, the first come, first served rules, over 21, current passport (till April 2015) are the ones going, and our group will consist of pro and advanced amateur portrait, landscape and architectural photographers many of whom work in the industry and newcomers, beginners and noobies.  It would be a great opportunity for someone learning photography working alongside those skilled individuals
